A new year means lots of you will be reading us for the first time since becoming engaged... and many of you will be regular readers eager to finalise those all important last minute details. Whatever stage of the planning process you’re at, we’ve covered everything from floral trends to budgets. One of my favourite things about editing Wedding Flowers & Accessories magazine is predicting what lies ahead for the season so here’s a heads up from Wedding HQ – lilac is set to be the hottest colour, as seen in our Freshly Picked Ideas pages (10-11). From show-stopping tablecentres to luxurious bouquets and romantic buttonholes, purple hues are set to dominate this year. I am also especially excited about the upcoming trend for fruity centrepieces as detailed in Flower News (page 20)... and showcased in our gorgeous Flower Lookbook photoshoot (from page 69) where the cutest little crab apples adorn a hair circlet created especially for us by Bloomin’ Events (page 96). Like many brides-to-be, you may well be on a tight budget but still want Pinterest-worthy displays, so we show you how to have your dream flowers without breaking the bank in Blooms on a Budget (page 24). Alternatively, why not try growing your own with a little help from our Clever Sow and Sow feature (page 26)? Lastly, but not least, this issue is packed with real life weddings, moodboards, fashion, beauty, competitions and receptions to help with your planning so good luck and please feel free to tweet me your ideas and questions! Enjoy the issue.
