BROTHERS AT WAR AS PEGGY DIES!
It’s been more than ten years since Phil’s brother, Grant, left Walford to set up home in Portugal. But now he’s back! Grant strides into the Square this week after getting the news that mum Peggy is seriously ill. But it’s not long before old tensions resurface when he faces Phil. ‘There are issues he has to deal with,’ says Ross Kemp, who returns to the soap
briefly as Grant. ‘There’s conflict there.’ The brothers have a troubled history. Grant was devastated when Phil had an affair with his then-wife Sharon; then Grant slept with Phil’s ex, Kathy, as revenge, which resulted in a watery showdown as their car plunged into the Thames! The
estranged brothers later briefly reunited to help their sister, Sam, after she was wrongfully imprisoned for killing Den Watts. Now, as Phil breaks the news that Peggy hasn’t got long to live, Grant flies off the handle and blames his brother for not doing more to help their mum, who has cancer.
