Noé completed his doctoral thesis at the University of Oxford, and is a research assistant for the ERC-funded project The European Fiscal-Military System 1530 – 1870. He is also a reviewer for the Royal Studies Journal. His article A Zealous Defender of German Freedom, on Charles Albert of Bavaria, 1740-42, will be published next year in German History.
