Lelong Designs was started in London by Jean Lelong in the 1960s with his son Jess joining the firm in 1982.
Jess is a new exhibitor to the Dorking Halls’ antiques and collectors fair and will be bringing a selection of his jewellery to the next event on Sunday, February 19, including this Art Deco-style necklace, above. It is made of silver-plated brass and set with red cabochons sourced in Paris and priced at £55.
He said: “All my designs are made from vintage stampings of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods and I also use vintage stones, Galalith [a plastic product resembling Bakelite] and fired enamel for many of my pieces.”
