This rare c.1730 goblet far right is engraved with the arms of William, Prince of Orange, beneath the toast Vivat Oranie. The piece measures 8in (20cm) high and features a bobbin knopped stem with central multi-teared knop and on a plain food. It is one of the pieces in an exhibition of English baluster glasses which opens at Delomosne & Son this month.
The 42 glasses in this single-owner collection range in date from 1700-35 and are available for prices from £500-15,000 (others shown right).
The pieces go on show at Delomosne’s website and Wiltshire showroom from September 18-23. The glasses can be purchased from September 25.
