Comics sale was a knock-out success

International hammer highlights

The six lots described here are drawn from a hugely successful sale of comics and comic art held in Dallas by Heritage (20% buyer’s premium) over four days, from April 7-10.

Some 6000 bidders registered for a 1766-lot auction in which everything sold for a total of $26.67m (£20.51m), split more or less evenly between the artworks and the comics themselves.
