SCRUB cutting beside a Mid Argyll road has caused concern and a few raised eyebrows.
But Argyll and Bute Council has said the job is not yet complete, with trimming of untidy trees still to be carried out. As part of a £153,000 project to improve the condition of the C30 road from Ford to Kilmaha, Argyll and Bute Council contractors used a flail machine to trim back everything from small bushes to substantial specimens of ash, birch and other species.
One local woman told the Advertiser: ‘What they have done is awful. It has left a terrible mess. The trees are decimated, and I cannot understand why it has been done this way.’
