THE MOOD at the AGM of Tarbert Gaelic Choir on Friday November 24 was both poignant and upbeat. Warm tributes were paid to the retiring conductor Hilary Macdonald, who, with her husband, the late Dr Neil, nurtured the choir over many years.
Under their conductor, Susan Rhodes, with Gaelic helper Christine Johnston, choir members look forward to a year of hard but enjoyable work, gladly welcoming new singers.
An introductory meeting will be held in January next year, with practices starting on February 3, 2018.
