A NEW youth volunteer scheme is to be piloted by Police Scotland in Argyll.
Selected as the first part of Argyll to try out the Police Scotland Youth Volunteers (PSYV) scheme is Kintyre, with the scheme due to begin in December. Adult volunteers are to be recruited to help deliver the scheme in the area.
Unveiling the pilot scheme, Constable Trish Collins appealed for adults to get involved, explaining: ‘You will be expected to assist in the recruitment and management of youth volunteers who will be used in the local community to support projects and events and asked to commit to at least one fortnightly session with the group.
