SOME of Argyll and Bute’s best-loved historic attractions will be keeping their doors open for longer this year.
Historic Environment Scotland has announced extended seasonal opening at 50 sites across the country as part of Scotland’s Year of History, Heritage and Archaeology.
Among the Argyll and Bute attractions taking part are Dunstaffnage Castle and chapel near Oban, Kilchurn Castle, Loch Awe, and Rothesay Castle, along with St Mary’s Chapel on the Isle of Bute.
