AFTER five years, another Argyll and Bute Council term is coming to an end and it is time for the public to have its say.
The election will be held in each contested ward and voting will take place between the hours of 7am and 10pm on Thursday May 4, 2017. Ten wards across Argyll and Bute will be up for contest - as South Kintyre is uncontested - so it is important that voters are familiar with their candidates.
Councillors will be elected using the single transferable vote system, meaning that voters will have to list the candidates in order of preference on the ballot sheet. For more information on how to vote and the voting system, visit the Argyll and Bute Council website.
