A YOUNG Mid Argyll woman who won a sex discrimination case says she hopes it will encourage others to fight for their rights.
An industrial tribunal heard that Erin Sandilands, 18, was working as a waitress at Cecchini’s bistro in Ardrossan, Ayrshire, when a manager asked her to start wearing a skirt and make-up, and wear her hair down, to be ‘easier on the eye for punters’.
Erin, from the village of Ford, had earlier been told the waiting staff dress code was black trousers or a skirt and a black shirt.
