The next concert by Isle of Arran Music Society, on Saturday March 18, is by Cuerdas, a duo consisting of a harpist and a cellist. Cello and harp is a wonderful combination, not often heard but versatile in terms of repertoire, and the audience can expect a programme of soaring melodies over rippling harmonies.
The Cuerdas duo who are playing in Brodick.
Sophie Askew, on the harp, has played with orchestras across Scotland, including the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, as well as giving recitals at famous venues including Edinburgh Castle, Glamis and Gleneagles Hotel. Passionate about music education, she teaches at all levels from primary to degree level.
