Two people were rescued from a sailing boat off Arran in poor conditions in the early hours of last Wednesday morning.
The yacht was drifting without power and one of the crew was suffering badly from sea sickness
The Arran RNLI in-shore lifeboat Rachel Hedderwick launched at 11.30pm and made way to the coastline south of Pladda. Once on scene, the lifeboat crew searched the area as the stricken vessel had minimal radio contact and its exact whereabouts were unknown. were spotted and Arran’s RNLI lifeboat made best speed to the vessel and her occupants’ aid.
