Stepping out
We all remember that exciting, nerve-racking night when we made our debut on the scene. So what was it like for you, the first time you walked through the door of a gay venue?

The date was 27 June 2015. I had just finished my GCSEs and, as a special way of celebrati ng, my dad promised to take me to Dublin for the weekend to celebrate my first-ever Pride.
Before you ask, yes my dad is probably one of the most supportive and open-minded fathers out there, and I have him to thank for helping me find my feet on the gay scene and ensuring I had one of the best nights of my life.
