MG will this year launch a new EV that draws energy from a semi-solid-state battery – and it won’t come at a big premium over current battery technology. MG general manager Zhou Yu confirmed that the pack, which uses a combination of gel and solid electrolytes, will be standard equipment on the as-yet-unspecified new model.
