Think there’s no such thing a free meal? Provided you’re willing to show kindness and compassion to others, there is now. Plant-based food brand, Gosh! launched their Kindness Café last year and, due to the roaring success, it’s returned for 2019, appearing in numerous places up and down the country. All you have to do is pledge an act of kindness and a nutritious lunch is yours. Rachel Moule from Action PR, and the brains behind the project, tells us more.
The café is super simple – in return for pledging an act of kindness, we’ll give you a free lunch. You get given a piece of paper which is a pledge card and on that you commit to any act of kindness whatsoever – no matter how big or small – it can be anything at all. Then you pin it up on our big wall and you get offered a plant-based lunch using different Gosh! products.
Living in London, this project really resonated with me – everyone is always commuting, or really busy, we all exist in our own bubbles. It can be quite difficult to be part of a community when everyone is rushing around feeling angry about things. So we wanted people to take stock for a moment and think about what they can do for others. Gosh!’s entire ethos, both internally as a company culture and externally as a brand, is kind in the sense that they want everything to be harm-free whether that’s for your body, or for the environment. With this in mind, we wanted to create something specifically which was completely representative of a kind brand.
