I MUST applaud John Ryder for the effort and desire he demonstrated on Saturday evening. I always knew that John was world-class, but to travel to hostile territory and into a Mexican legend's hometown, and put on that kind of performance, must have garnered Ryder more fans worldwide.
John refused to be dominated by an elite boxer-fighter. No matter how tough the fight was becoming, John refused to bow to his adversary. After the fight, social media was ablaze with people admiring John Ryder. In fact, John finished the stronger of the two boxers. I hope John takes some time to relax with his family and friends. I'm not sure what his next move will be, but I do know that the Mexican people will be talking about this teak tough and skilled English boxer for a long time to come. Take a bow, John, you've earned it my friend.
