RINGSIDE REST AND CARE were moved by the plight of Lee Noble, the former super-middleweight who was forced to retire in 2014 after being diagnosed with leukaemia. The 32-year-old was told he had terminal cancer in February this year and RR&C, after securing charity status, stepped in with a generous contribution.
Noble, ever the fighter, insists he wants to do a fund raiser in return as soon as he is well enough to do so. Michael Watson MBE said on social media: “I’d just like to thank Ringside Rest and Care as I heard today, after gaining charity status, there first move was to support Lee Noble. Always happy to help you guys if you need us.”
Referee Martin Williams and former WBO bantamweight champion Robbie Regan are hosting a charity event for RR&C in March next year. They’re on the lookout for auction items. If anyone can help please call Karen on 07766886580.
