OLEKSANDR USYK was a nearunanimous choice as Boxing News’ Fighter of the Year for 2024, and it’s little wonder why.
Having previously cleaned out a stellar cruiser class via the World Boxing Super Series between 2017-2018, this was the year the Ukrainian maestro conclusively proved his heavyweight mettle against the favoured might of Tyson Fury – not once, but twice. Fifteen of a 16-strong BN panel pinned Usyk as their fighter of 2024.
