JAMIE MORRISSEY claimed an impressive victory as the Celtic Clash served up another classic at the Devenish Complex in Belfast. The Limerick super-middleweight and his Boxing Ireland stablemate Robbie Bourke saved the show, and then made it, by agreeing to fight just 24 hours before the weigh-in. The duo produced six all-action rounds on the 12th installment of the Boxing Ireland series known for producing thrilling encounters. The pair threw serious leather from start to finish with four of the six rounds proving hard to call. The other two were won wide by Morrissey. Referee Hugh Russell Jnr scored the ‘let’s see that again’ bout 60-55 in the Treaty county fighter’s favour, handing him the ultimate birthday present, much to the delight of his fans who made the 10-hour round trip north.
