An award-winning custom build service with Border Oak

Finding a good plot in a great location, with planning approval already in place, can be incredibly difficult for a self builder. For more than 20 years, Border Oak has been identifying, creating and purchasing plots to enable customers to build their own homes – but in the past five years, we’ve developed this to include a full facilitation service.

In a nutshell, we do all the hard work for you. We spend a lot of time searching for the very best sites and then ensuring they are prepared and ready for customers to start their custom build. This means that all the messy, complicated and stressful precommencement work you’d normally have to sort out is undertaken by us.

We maintain a broad selection of serviced plots with detailed planning approval, with a dedicated Border Oak project manager attached to the scheme. Our expert team will also complete the infrastructure and shared landscaping. In addition, we resolve and streamline the conveyancing process, so you know exactly what you’re buying and there are no nasty surprises or hidden costs pre-purchase.
