Movie-goers give Picture Housea BAFTA

NEARLY two months to the day since Campbeltown Picture House (CPH) re-opened its cinema with an added screen, the Courier stepped out to gauge its success on the street.

Out of the sample of 19 people, everyone was full of praise and some made suggestions for improvement. CPH’s inaugural Scottish Comedy Film Festival (SCOFF) was given a big thumbs-up.

‘A super asset for the town’

RETIRED couple David, 78, and Chris, 77, MacArthur from Campbeltown said: ‘It is just brilliant, just what’s needed. A super asset for the town. ‘We love the silver screen showing. It is great value with free tea and coffee too.’
