MEMBERS of Clachan Rural are looking forward to celebrating 100 years of the Scottish Women’s Institutes (SWI) this year.
At their AGM, the group discussed their future programme, which includes an afternoon tea with other members of the Kintyre group at Bellochantuy Hotel on July 1, to mark the centenary of the formation of the SWI.
At the meeting, the cup for the most points in competitions held over the year, presented by Jeannie McCallum, was awarded to Zoe Weir. Pauline Simson was second and third was Jane Griffiths.
