Private police forces could soon be involved in finding your classic car, according to the former head of the Metropolitan Police stolen car squad. They have hit the headlines of late, as stretched police forces in the UK look to relieve pressure on front line officers by offloading less serious crime, such as car theft, to unpaid volunteers or private police forces.
