BILL RYDER-JONES

Fresh from guesting with his old band The Coral and producing Michael Head, Bill Ryder-Jones’ fifth album is his most complete work to date. Crucially, it’s also his most optimistic. The bittersweet acoustic sway of Christinha might be expected, less so the epic anthemics of Nothing To Be Done, recalling The Flaming Lips’ most mainstream moves. Best of all, If Tomorrow Starts Without Me has Ryder-Jones as an irresistible one-man orchestra with a killer uplifting chorus. The title is Welsh for ‘Good health’ and this is guaranteed to leave you feeling brighter.
