One of the trio’s more esoteric releases arrived in October 1984 with their own computer game. The Thompson Twins Adventure was given away as a flexidisc with that month’s gaming mag Computer And Video Games Monthly.
Fans had to play the flexidisc while recording its audio onto a blank cassette, which could then be connected to a Commodore 64 or ZX Spectrum in order to load the game itself. It was as fiddly as that sounds, and the C64 version was particularly liable to crash. The game itself was a text-driven adventure, that was based loosely on Doctor! Doctor!. As well as Doctor! Doctor!, the flexidisc also featured a message from the band, but their memories of the experience are now understandably hazy. Joe states:
