Ronnie Spector was born Veronica Yvette Bennett in Manhattan, New York. Her girl vocal group The Ronettes attracted the attention of producer Phil Spector (who she married in 1968), and together they achieved chart success in the 60s with the hits including Be My Baby, Baby, I Love You and (The Best Part Of) Breakin’ Up.
