Alex Van Halen’s book is an “intimate and open account”.
MICK JONES OF Foreigner has revealed that he is suffering from Parkinson’s disease. “Fans will have become very aware that for some time now I have not been performing on stage with the band,” said the 79-year-old guitarist, songwriter and producer in a statement. “Several years ago, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. I want everyone to know that Iam doing alright. However, I’ve always liked to be at my best when performing on stage, and sadly, at present I find that a bit difficult. I’m still very much involved in the background with Foreigner and remain a presence. Parkinson’s is a daily struggle. The important thing is to persevere and remind myself of the wonderful career I’ve had in music.”
On February 10, Foreigner were announced as one of the nominees for this year’s Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductions, along with Ozzy Osbourne, Peter Frampton, Jane’s Addiction, Oasis and Lenny Kravitz, among others. DL
