CHOOSE THE RIGHT SPECS
Paper weight
What is it?
A printer’s paper-weight specification tells you the minimum and maximum thickness of paper that a printer can handle.
How does it work?
Because of the way a printer’s rollers and other components are configured, the paper it can process must be within a certain thickness range. Too thick and the paper may be too stiff to pass through. Too thin and the printer may not be able to apply a proper grip on it. So if you have specialist paper needs, or want to print on envelopes or card, it’s important to ensure the printer you buy can handle that specific stationery.
