Interrupt responses with new information
You can now interrupt ChatGPT to provide new or different information for your query, when it’s taking a long time to respond. This is handy when using its ‘Deep research’ option, which scours more sources to generate in-depth and ‘reasoned’ answers.
Rather than wait a few minutes for the chatbot’s response, then enter a follow-up question, you can click or tap Update (see screenshot below) to supply the new detail. ChatGPT will refine its research and answer based on your new requirements, without losing its current progress. Click or tap Stop instead, if you want to abandon the query and ask ChatGPT something else.
