DICTUM
Hello, you. How are you holding up? Me? I’m a bit up and down, to be honest. Regulating my emotions is the hardest thing. Sometimes I’m buoyant with optimism. Other times, it feels like a never-ending panic attack. The weirdest bit, in a way, is just how normal this all feels. Not all that long ago, I had never heard words or phrases like “social distancing” and “self-isolation”. I was hugging people with wild abandon, reckless in my affection. Now, I’m following the two-metre rule to the letter, have become an expert on measures to “flatten the curve” and fancy myself as an epidemiologist. What a difference a few weeks make.
