Is Star Fox’s ‘moderate’ N64 remake the way forward?

A cross Nintendo’s history, the N64 hardware may provide the ripest crop of remake options. Not only did it mark an especially strong period of firstparty production, but it offers the potential for the most obviously transformative results. Star Fox is a case in point: its visual overhaul is fairly modest by current standards, but compared to the original it’s night and day, from the jade seas of Zoness to psychedelic warp zones in Meteo and Sector X.
