How much attention do you pay to your chain tension? Is it even the right chain for your bike? Cheap isn’t always cheerful!

We had a guy in this morning whose chain was dangerously loose, lurking close to the floor and could have come off at any time and caused catastrophic damage to the bike, and rider. On closer inspection, it had a chain fitted that was far less than the spec specified for that bike. ‘I bought a chain and sprocket kit for half the retail price and my mate fitted it, and it’s now hanging on the faaacking floor,’ is something we often hear.

Buy smart, and you need not go through lots of these!
