HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE/ESA/NASA/B WILLIAMS
Over the last few years we’ve been treated to stunning sights sent back to Earth by the James Webb Space Telescope. But the Hubble Space Telescope has still been diligently working away in the background. This is one of Hubble’s images (made up of 600 pictures) and took over 10 years to create.
It shows the Andromeda Galaxy (also known as Messier 31), a spiral galaxy that sits 2.5 million light-years away from the Milky Way – making it our nearest galactic neighbour.
