Could you be a winner?

Enter now for a chance to win a holiday and to have your garden featured in BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine

Our Gardens of the Year competition is open for entries until 10 June 2024, which means there’s still plenty of time to assess your space, make any final design or planting tweaks, and send your photos in via our entry form at GardenersWorld.com/gardencompetition. We’ll need 6-10 images of your outdoor space to help us choose our six finalists, each of which will receive a professional photoshoot.

What we’re looking for

The initial selection criteria are simple and likely in line with how you’ve put your garden together anyway, but as a heads-up we’re looking for creative use of the available space, how you’ve used, combined and grown your plants, the overall atmosphere created by the garden design or layout, and the use of materials. How you photograph your space is also a major factor, and can really help its character to shine through.

We love...
We love May
Let’s all heave a sigh of relief that none of us are mayflies. Imagine the agony of being born on a glorious May morning and knowing that it would probably be the last sunrise of your extremely short existence. No time to have a long, leisurely lunch on the banks of the river. No chance of visiting the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. No time to watch the roses unfurl in the morning sun and definitely no spare moments to lie on the grass and listen to the bees. Luckily, we are a bit more long-lived and can thoroughly enjoy one of the very best months to be in the garden.
