Apple has brought some magic to iOS by allowing you to convert words contained in an image into plain text. This new feature, called Live Text, has been introduced in iOS 15 and not only works with photos that you’ve already taken but on those that others have sent to you or that you’ve come across online. It’s also possible to hover your iPhone over some text using the camera and capture text on-the-fly. You’re bound to find many uses for it.
Here, we take a look at how it all works but we must warn you that you’ll need to have an iPhone that contains the A12 Bionic chip or later. That means the feature only operates with any handset from iPhone XS and XR onward, and is out of reach for older models.
