Rather than wait for the official rollout of iOS 16 in the autumn, there are a couple of ways to get hold of the software early. Beta versions are usually released simultaneously with the update being announced at WWDC, but to get hold of one of these, you will need to be enrolled in the Apple Developer Program (which costs £70 per year). We will guide you through the process of enrolling and obtaining the dev beta here, but alternatively you can wait an extra month and then install the newer, possibly more stable public beta – check out ‘Knowledge base’ for information on how to get that.
