Apple has been treating us to new hardware yet again, this time in the shape of the 2023 HomePod, Apple’s new smart speaker. The new HomePod not only looks great, it sounds great too. The only problem is that you have to use an Apple device to connect to it. That’s not a problem for most of us, I’m sure, since we’re signed up members of the Apple fan club, but what about your Android-using friends who pop over for a cup of tea? Take pity on these poor people. With a HomePod there’s no way for them to connect to your music system to play you something from their phone.
