Fans of programmes such as Springwatch will almost certainly have heard a new buzzword being bandied about.he buzzword is ‘rewilding’ and refers to something that has actually been around for a while. It is generally applied to very large-scale projects aimed at increasing biodiversity and helping to reduce global warming – things like mopping up air pollution and CO2 and preventing soil erosion through large-scale reforesting, linking green spaces to form corridors for wildlife, targeting help to species in decline and encouraging rural industries. But we can apply the same principles on a tiny scale to our own gardens and really make a diference in the process.
