Two Bibles launched each week in 2023-4
Two new translations of either the whole Bible or the New Testament have been launched every week in the past year, and for the first time at least some of the Christian scriptures are available in more than half the world’s languages.
These are some of the highlights revealed in this year’s State of the Bible report, which was released in September by Wycliffe Bible Translators. It also reveals that the number of people who have access to the Bible in their own language has broken the six billion mark, while a third of all languages have the Bible or New Testament.
