UPDATES
No patches for 32-bit distros
Older distros remain open to Retbleed attacks.
Users of 32-bit Linux distros won’t receive kernel patches to protect them against the CVE-2022-29900 and CVE- 2022-29901 attacks. These are also known as Retbleed – variants of Spectre, the vulnerability in Intel and AMD chips – and exploits a mitigation against Spectre: retpolines. It targets older processors like AMD Zen 1 – 2, and 8th Gen Intel Core processors, and while an update has been released for the 64-bit Linux kernel, the 32-bit Linux kernel won’t receive the update.
