Organise your Mac’s display
Changing your screen resolution is easy and you have other options too
IT WILL TAKE 10 minutes
YOU WILL LEARN How to easily change your Mac’s display resolution, use external displays and manage multiple desktops
YOU’LL NEED macOS 13 or later
There are all kinds of reasons why you might need to change your Mac’s display resolution – from increasing the text size so that things are easier to read, to increasing that resolution so you can fit more items on screen at once.
Both options can be really handy when you’re on a Mac laptop where the physical display size is limited (especially on a MacBook Air or MacBook Pro 13in), but you can also use the options in System Settings > Displays to manage both the displays of desktop Macs (an iMac, say) and those of external monitors.
