Annoying Background Item notifications
Q WhenI start up my iMac running macOS 13 (Ventura), I’m notified about loads of Background Items that are already installed. How can I stop that?

A Theseare now managed in Login Items in the General section of System Settings, but once set up shouldn’t cause repeated notifications on startup. The lower of the two lists shown there includes everything apart from macOS components that can be run in the background, some of which may appear puzzling.
