Having done an in-box review of the kit in an earlier issue, I thought I would build the model to see how it all went together and to see what you the reader get for your money.
Step 1 covers the assembly of the air intakes and I have to say the fit of parts here wasn’t too good as the sides of the intakes (parts 42B and 43B) make up the forward fuselage and left some very awkward gaps to fill, especially as the forward edges butt up against the RAM (Radar Absorbing Material) panels. I gently sanded the front edges until the fit was better but the parts still required filling. I used Mr. White Putty as the excess can be removed with IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) and doesn’t destroy the surface detail unlike regular sanding.
