Model Engineer Magazine 4525 Back Issue

English
217 Reviews   •  English   •   Family & Home (DIY)
We begin three new series this time. Firstly, a short description of the building of Anna, a small stationary steam engine for which good quality, partly machined castings are available. Secondly, a unique little model of a working shaping machine by a young engineering student from Germany and a series of short articles by Peter King who has recently scrambled through the labyrinth of obstacles in order to set up CNC production in his home workshop. If you have only ever thought about CNC before, this could be all you need to get you going.
Our regular features include the construction of an early semi-diesel engine by Frank Cruickshank and Mick Knights’ Mastiff Plus covers making the carburettors, tying up a few loose ends and making piston rings.
There’s a design for demonstrating a stationary steam engine at exhibitions and Roger Backhouse takes us for a look around the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway situated within the Lake District National Park. Finally, Martin Wallis concludes his tour of the English summer rally scene.
