Submerged beneath the lake
Finding that different image isn’t always about discovering a new location: it can equally be about thinking differently when you are somewhere familiar, a place that has been captured by you and others many times. Here’s an example of thinking differently at Ashness Jetty: instead of looking straight down the jetty, which is the classic view photographed by so many, standing to the side enables you to include the jetty as a focal point to anchor the composition, and to capture the Lake District’s northern fells, including Skiddaw on the right.
