Illuminated ice sculptures dwarf guests at the 28th Changchun Ice and Snow Festival on December 16, in China’s northeastern Jilin province. The event, which opened to the public the following day, featured over 200 carvings and 70 slides made out of ice and snow. Opera and a “Blizzard Disco” also took place at the festival, which was co-hosted by the municipal government and Jilin’s culture and tourism department.
