GLENCOE Folk Museum is getting ready to celebrate its 50th anniversary in style by taking part in a nationwide festival. The Festival of Museums is an annual event co-ordinated by Museums Galleries Scotland. It showcases Scot land’s extensive cultural offer ing through more than 120 events taking place over one weekend across the country.
This year will be Scotland’s largest Festival of Museums and Glencoe Folk Museum is stepping back in time to host a fun-filled day of retro crafts and classic games.
The museum’s temporary exhibition celebrates the five decades of history that the museum has witnessed since opening in 1967 through fashion, technology and local events, and visitors are welcome to add their own photos and memories to the reminiscence board.
