BANAVIE Primary School pupils got creative with their Easter celebrations when they took part in a Hats and Eggs competition run by the pupil council.
Working at home, some made Easter bonnets featuring bunnies and chicks and other spring designs. Other children made tableaus using real eggs. Keen young skier Drew Drysdale, right, made one entitled ‘Neggis Range’, complete with an egg on skis carefully negotiating a snowy mountain slope.
The entries were judged by the manager of the Caol Co-op, which supplied the Easter egg prizes, and Ainsley Burns. The children then had a special Easter Assembly to round off the festivities. Head teacher Maxean Dunham said: ‘It is always amazing to see the quality of design and the inventiveness of the children in all aspects of the competition.’
